Home > Our Parents Together with The Dance Gallery instructors, parents complete a circle of support, love, and discipline around our dancers. While some parents sew costumes or paint stage sets, all of our parents and guardians are united in giving their children the encouragement and opportunity to explore the art of dance. Here are some of the roles our parents take. If you are interested in helping one of them, or have a unique gift to share, please email us dncegall@munsterdancegallery.com.

Testimonials Send your testimonial "Have been meaning to email all week and haven't had the chance yet. I wanted to say that this year was ever so MORE apparent that your talent and expertise with the students stood out. The choreography of your dances were outstanding, and the Send Your Love performance was breath taking for which I am not alone with that opinion - absolutely one of your best, from the costumes to the choreography a pure pleasure to watch. Again, just wanted to thank you for an truly enjoyable evening. You brought tears to our eyes and have made us proud." --Bessie Spiro-Griggs, parent "I picked The Dance Gallery for my child because I know first hand what an incredible teacher Amy is. Amy was my jazz instructor when I was high school and she was in college. She showed patience and understanding with me and I was sure she would employ those same qualities with my daughter. We have stayed with The Dance Gallery because we are consistently impressed with the professionalism of the The Dance Gallery employees and students. For us there is no other place to learn dance!" --Susan Rouse, parent "I not only learned the art of dance from Amy White Hanas, but also a strong work ethic and positive attitude that have helped me enormously in other endeavors. In my 14 years of studying dance with Amy, I learned the technique and performance skills that helped me to get good parts in many performances. I also went on to dance with the Texas Christian University Showgirls, and as an Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader. Even though I am now working as a television meteorologist, my love for dance continues. Amy not only taught dance skills that took me to many exciting places, but also life skills that are INVALUABLE to me today!" --Megan Glaros, former student "Dancing is a way of life...not just a career choice, but a passion that lurks inside your soul. It takes a special teacher and dance school to help you discover that passion and release it. Amy White Hanas and The Dance Gallery did that for me. I began dancing at the age of six under Miss Amy's instruction. I continued my studies with Miss Amy and The Dance Gallery until I graduated high school and went onto Ball State University to seek my Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance. After obtaining my degree, I danced professionally with Carnival Cruise Lines and then returned to Miss Amy and The Dance Gallery to begin my teaching career. Through it all, even the years at college, Miss Amy remained my teacher and mentor and continued her dedication to me and my dreams. I am now living near Indianapolis and Assistant Artistic Director of a Regional Ballet Company. I acknowledge many of my successes to Miss Amy and her encouragement, dedication, and friendship to me and my dreams. Many thanks to Miss Amy and The Dance Gallery...a place where dreams are made, reached, and recognized! "
