STUDIO CLOSINGS
The Dance Gallery will hold classes
during fall break, the weekend of October 25-27.
The Saturday schedule will change for that
weekend only. There will be no Pilates class.
There will be no Jazz II 2nd year class. There
will be one mixed level ballet/pointe class from
10:30-12:30. Exploration II will meet as
regularly scheduled. Dance In Love will not
meet.
Classes will not meet on October 31st due to
lack of participation previous years.
The Dance Gallery will be closed November 21-24
for the Thanksgiving holiday. See your
instructor for make up dates.
DRESS CODE/DANCE BAG
CONTENTS
All students should carry a dance bag
with the following items: hair brush, hair ties
and clips, safety pins and band aids. The Dance
Gallery is happy to provide items occasionally,
but we are having a hard time keeping up with
the supplies used by students. Please remember
that the Dance Gallery has a dress code. This is
to ensure focus on dance technique and to assist
the teacher in correcting line of the body. See
your brochure if you’ve forgotten. This is a
studio policy, not individual teacher.
WEATHER SITUATIONS
In case of inclement weather or for
any other reason classes would be cancelled,
call before you come to class. There will always
be a message if classes have been cancelled. If
the School Town of Munster cancels due to
weather, The Dance Gallery will also close. If
it is after school hours, call first.
NUTCRACKER OTHER
PERFORMANCE NEWS
Jessica Ivetich and Katie Speckman
will perform with the Joffrey Ballet in The
Nutcracker. Both Katie and Jessica have a much
coveted role in the party scene. Andrew Zahn
will portray the Prince in Indiana Youth
Ballet’s Nutcracker production and Shaina
Szymoniak will appear in the Waltz of the
Flowers and Spanish scenes of the same
production. CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE

CELEBRATION 2008
COSTUMES
CELEBRATION 2008 will be held on
Friday, June 20, 2008 at Munster High School.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW. COSTUME DEPOSITS ARE
DUE NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 22nd. The costume
deposit is $55 per dance. Students enrolled in 2
ballet classes will perform in one ballet piece.
For those students enrolled in at least 5 ½
hours per week, there may be special parts in
Act II. Now is the time to prove your dedication
through class attendance and hard work. Please
see Ms. Amy if you are interested in one of
these parts
PILATES
Pilates students rave about what it
has done for them. The following comments were
made: “I have so much more energy in my day.”
“I’m not sore. I just feel great.” “My husband
says my posture has improved.” “Doing Pilates
before dance doesn’t fatique me, it makes me
feel more warmed up.”
Adult Pilates meets on Tues./Thurs. mornings
from 9:30-10:30. Modifications are given
according to students abilities. Pilates for
dancers meets on Thursday from 6-7 and Saturday
from 10:30-11:30. STRENGTHEN THAT CORE!
ON A FINAL POINTE
1. Tuition is due no later than
Saturday, November 3rd.
2. Costume deposit of $55 per part are due no
later than December 22nd.
3. HAVE A GREAT SESSION.
