New Faculty Assignment!!!
Ms. Amy is so excited to announce that Ms. Taytum has been asked and has accepted the position of assistant director. In 17 years, there has never been an assistant director, but Ms. Amy knows when to ask for help and Ms. Taytum is excited to have more responsibility within the studio that has helped to shape her life. Please do not be concerned. Ms. Amy isn't going anywhere. This will give you more options to voice concerns you may have and will give Ms. Amy a fresh perspective.

"I'm very excited about the opportunity to become Assistant Director to Ms. Amy and The Dance Gallery. I feel I have a vested interest in the Dance Gallery because of the years I walked through the doors as a student and how dance has shaped my life. I want to see the Dance Gallery continue to flourish and have the positive impact on young girls lives that it has had on mine. Keeping the integrity of the Dance Gallery, with the high level of technique and personal values is extremely important to me. The Dance Gallery is more than just a place to take class or work. At the risk of sounding cliché, we really are a family." Ms. Taytum

Celebration 2007

Bluebird: Katie Miller
Sun Ray solo: Renae Miyashiro
Father: Elizabeth Larson

The above parts were selected based on technique, hours in class, mental attitude, and seniority. REHEARSALS FOR THESE PARTS ARE MANDATORY! We wish we could have selected a part for everyone who wanted one, but keep working hard! Next year might be your year!

The classes participating in Hansel and Gretel are as follows:

Wednesday 5:00: Woodland Fairies
Wednesday 6:00 Gingerbreads
Thursday 4:00: Swans
Thursday 5:30: Gum drops
Friday 5:15: Peppermint candies
Saturday 9:15: Lemon drops

All jazz classes will be in the first act in a separate jazz section. Rehearsals for the jazz finale will begin around May 15th on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00. These rehearsals are mandatory and are necessary for the students to feel confident about their entrances and exits. This should give you plenty of time to mark your calendars and make this a priority.

Dance in LOVE
Dance In Love traveled to Indianapolis on January 19th to participate in Dance Revolution for the weekend. There they participated in many fun and professional classes, experienced awesome worship and one of a kind dance. They performed 2 pieces, which were very well received by the faculty. Check out Dance Revolution's web site and click on the D-Rev club in March to see their featured dance studio, which is none other than THE DANCE GALLERY! We are so excited to be a part of this revolutionary group of dancers! Meanwhile, we are busy preparing new works to perform at churches, retirement homes, rehabilitation facilities and of course, for you in the CELEBRATION. As always, if you have prayer concerns, let us know and we will pray and send cards.
