Tuition is Due!
For your convenience pricing is located on your brochure and on the payment box in the waiting area of the Dance Gallery.

Studio Closings
The Dance Gallery will be closed on Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day. If the studio is EVER closed for any reason, there is always a message indicating this on the voicemail.

Annual Celebration
The annual Celebration of Dance will be Friday, June 17, 2005, at Munster High School. It is very important to attend classes regularly so that you feel confident and have a great time on stage. We will be concentrating heavily on the Celebration, and missing even one class could lessen your child's confidence. See the rehearsal schedule for May below. ALL REGULAR CLASS TIMES STILL APPLY. Attending extra rehearsals not only helps your child feel secure, but exposes them to older dancers, and gives them extra practice time. Dress rehearsal will be Thursday, June 16. You will receive information regarding this day closer to the date. Keep this entire day free from 8:00-4:00. Please check the studio for the handout.

All Jazz rehearsal: Tuesday 4-5pm, beginning May 24

Peter Pan: Monday 3:30-4:00, 4:30-5 May 23, June 6 and 13.
Tuesday 5:30-6 and 6:15-6:45 May 31, June 7 and 14
Thursday May 27, June 3 and 10 4:30-5.
Saturday May 14, 21, June 4, 11 10-11:45.

Peter Pan Shadow: Thursday 4:30-5 beginning May 27

Wendy: (Main character) See above times in addition to Monday 5:30-6

Tinkerbell: See Peter Pan times

Tiger Lily: Monday 4:30-5, 5:30-6, Saturday 9:30-10 beginning May 16

Hook and Smee: Monday 5:30-6 beginning May 16 in addition to Thursday night 6:45 practice time.
Saturday 11-11:30 beginning May 21 but excluding May 28.

Mermaids: (Main Character) Tuesday 5:30-6 beginning May 31 in addition to regular Thursday and Saturday times being mandatory in May.

John: Thursday 4:30-5 beginning May 27. May need to come after tap on Thursdays a couple of times. Saturday 11-11:30 beginning May 21 but excluding May 28.

Main Character Indians: Thursday 6:30-8:30 beginning May 5. Saturday 9:30-10 beginning June 4.

Pirates: Saturday 11-11:30 June 4 and 11

Crocodiles: Monday 3:30-4 May 23 and June 6, Saturday 10:15-10:45 June 4 and 11

Indians: Monday 4:30-5 May 23, 6 and 13. Saturday 9:30-10 May 21, June 4 and 11

Mermaids: No extra practices at this time.

Tinkerbells: No extra practices at this time.

Wendys: No extra practices at this time.

Lost Children: No extra practices at this time.

Please remember that these times are subject to change and are very important for a smoothly run performance. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated :)

Tickets
Tickets for the Celebration are reserved seating. We will begin selling tickets on Saturday, May 21, at 9:00 A.M. The cost of the tickets is 14.00, 12.00 and 10.00 dollars. We suggest you arrive early if you want the $14.00 tickets. Please remember, you may only buy your tickets and one other person's. You may NOT request separate seating when purchasing tickets.

Parents of Exploration 1 have 2 reserved seats in the front row because you will keep your child with you for the first act. Please tell the ticket agent if you are an Exploration 1 parent. Your ticket will remind you of the NO VIDEO TAPING policy. Our teachers work hard on their choreography and would appreciate this gesture as would the people sitting behind you.

Our professional video service makes a 2 day tape available in DVD for purchase.

Costumes and Balanaces Due
You will receive a notice of your balance due for costumes in this newsletter. Please remit with tuition on a separate check. No costumes will be handed out until all tuition and costume fees are up to date.

Program Ads
The Dance Gallery produces a professional program booklet with ad space.

Many businesses choose to advertise here, however it is a GREAT space to show your child how proud you are. The prices are $100 for a full page, $50 for 1/2 page, and $25 for 1/4 page. Forms are available at the studio and must be turned in by May 30.

Summer Schedule
The summer schedule will be complete, and available at the studio by May 16.

We strongly urge children in Exploration 2 and beyond to attend the summer session. It begins June 27, and runs through August 6. Please remember that those dancers in levels one and above not attending the summer classes will NOT remain with their class in the fall. This includes jazz levels.

Look for sign up times for classes that have duplicate times.

Springtime and Ants
PLEASE do not bring food or beverages into the studio as the weather warms.

The building sits on sand and the ants are very happy with any dropped food or spilled beverage. One small piece of French fry means one large ant hill.

Wrappers left will also cause this problem. We have already had ants in the dressing room and waiting area this season. Normally this rule applies to the dressing room and students only, however this problem is so great that we are asking parents and siblings to comply as well. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated.

DANCE In Love
Dance in Love will perform at 4:00 on May 14 at Westminster Presbyterian church.

On Final Pointe

Tuition is due no later than Saturday, May 8. There is a $10 late fee for tuition not paid by this date. This will be enforced. We always consider special circumstances. Just ask.
