Amy White Hanas
Director, Instructor | eMail Ms. Amy

Amy White Hanas, Director, is a Northwest Indiana native who began her dance education at Indiana University with the intent of performing and taking her ability to the final step of dance education.

While at Indiana University, she performed in the Indiana University Dance Theatre, for which she was also an assistant director and taught on a substitute basis.

Amy continued her education at Duke University and, upon  returning to Chicago, studied with Joseph Holmes and Nana Shineflug. Amy's education was furthered when she studied with Birute Barodicaite, Warren Conover and Ginger Farley at the Lou  Conte Studios.

Ms. Amy continues her dance education annually by studying in Chicago; feeling that her education prepares her to better educate her students. Amy is currently studying Pilates through the New York Authentic Joseph Pilates Guild, recently earning her certification as an Instructor.

Ms. Amy with her husband, Mr. Joe.

STUDIO CLOSINGS

There was some confusion regarding the policy of the studio closing during the floods. Typically for weather related closings, if the schools are closed we will also close. While we thought it necessary to close for a couple of days, we found conditions to allow us to re-open. Always check the web site and/or the voice mail if you are uncertain of cancellations.

The Dance Gallery will be closed Oct. 30-Nov 2 for fall break. Ms. Kris will begin her tap classes November 3rd.
